10,000 Hits!

Posted by Mercenary Spark on August 8, 2008

Yeah! Well we got to 10,000 hits today, the 8th of August of 2008 at 8 pm GMT (it was 4 pm here, which is Atlantic time, but GMT’s the one that really matters). Also if my Math is correct, it’s been exactly 200 days since I created this blog (it’s the 201th day, but I created the blog on the afternoon and I’m counting days that passed). Thanks to all the authors and readers of this blog for your help. All of you have helped to make this one of the top 5 music and gaming blogs in the web (when in doubt ask google). Our start was as rocky as any other blog, but we have come a long way, thanks to all of you. Again I thank you all for your support and not giving up.

Game Review: Summon Night: Twin Age

Posted by Mercenary Spark on May 20, 2008

It’s been a long time since my first game review (over 3 months), so now that this school year has ended for me, it’s time to make some reviews. Of the new portable games about to be released soon, one caught my attention. Probaby because it’s an anime-looking rpg for the Nintendo DS. The game is an action rpg that takes many of the elements of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (enemies appearing on the screen, focus on the touch screen as main controls, exploring and other common rpg aspects) and combines it with the gameplay of fantasy action-adventure and strategy games. 2,000 Hits!

Posted by Mercenary Spark on May 4, 2008

About half an hour ago, Mercenarylight’s Blog passed the 2,000 hit mark, 106 days after the blog’s creation. In almost exactly 15 weeks, this blog has achieved something I hope it can keep pulling off. I know it may look like I’ve been lazy for not writing a game review in 3 months and a music review in 1, but I’ve been busy working on the forum and my homework. I promise all of you, my recurring and unique visitors, that I’ll make a review as soon as my free time permits. I’ve recently added a shoutbox to the Hybrid Mix forum and I’m working on some of the new features, including an online game section. To take advantage of all of Hybrid Mix’s features, have fun, and talk about games, music and other things you like, visit the forums and register there.

 Rock On!

Game Preview – Patapon for PSP

Posted by Mercenary Spark on February 10, 2008

Commanding an army of eyeballs with limbs through the beats of a drum in a colorful 2-D environment. Original? Yes. But is it entertaining, replayable and satisfying? You will be surprised to know that besides the childlish look, this is one of the most fun, challenging and exciting games out there. Read the rest of this entry »
