Since no ideas come to mind about this week’s song and I have to mke an article, I’ll just choose the first song that I listen to when I begin writing this, and that is I’m So Sick, probably the best song by the band. The song’s about a person that’s spirtually/mentally sick as a result from a selfish relationship he/she wants to break free off. The sound’s ok and the lyrics too, may remind you of those mass epidemic or zombie movies. Also, I plan on doing some big changes to the blog, and maybe returning to doing some game reviews (I have an idea for one).

Sorry everyone, I’m still here even if I still have heavy rains All Around Me and a small wall fell on top of a nearby house. I want to thank you all for your patience, and today that classes were suspended, I finally post an article.  During my posting abscence the blog got to 15,000 hits, with some posts we might have gotten about a 1000 more in that time. I’ve been busy and I left my blog as middle priority in my life.

This week’s What’s in the Playlist song is by one of my favorite Christian Rock bands, Kutless. The song (unlike most songs by now-mainstream rock bands) does rock, but the band’s latest album To Know That You’re Alive has over half of the songs as “soft rock” ballads. The song’s about people who are criticized (for expressing their faith and being who they were) and are pressured to be like the rest, to be hopeless, faithless, suffering and without the important values of life (not having unity in the family). Jon Sumrall, the lead singer of Kutless said “this whole song is a little in-your-face perspective in that we have things in our hearts that we believe are right and true, and in the same nature that Paul did a couple thousand years ago, we feel like you can ridicule us, point fingers at us, yell at us and do whatever to us, but we believe in this and you can’t make us stop.”

Rating: 9/10 – A good Kutless song with great meaningful lyrics. Though I still like Treason better. The song is available In the Corner for you to listen.

Sorry, everyone for keeping you waiting for another article, but schoolwork and work on the forum on my free time haven’t allowed me to do much around here. This article will get published in the midst of stormy weather. For this month, I chose a video I found a few days ago on the web. It’s by Finger Eleven, one of the coolest Canadian rock bands I’ve heard recently. The song’s good, but the reason I chose it was because of the originality of the video. School didn’t start as I expected it to (homework) and it’s late, so I’ll post this article today and keep it short. I found this song some time ago, I like the instrumentals, the lyrics and their message. The song’s awesome (gets you pumped) and the lyrics have a fighting spirit to them (great before playing a competition or during workout). My interpretation of the song’s message is that you’ll always have others (God, your friends and your family) besides you wherever you go (even at death) to confront problems head on.

Rating: 9/10 – Pillar’s best song (in my opinion). I would give it a 100/10, but I won’t give ratings over 9 except for really good songs I like. The song is available In the Corner.

Oh my god, sorry I haven’t done this in a while.Just been busy as heck these past days. Animation, batch files, making people websites, yeesh.

Ok, so yeah, the FVGM of this post is the FFX battle music.

I’m not really into FF anymore, the only songs I like in it are the Prelude, FFX Battle Music, and the Red Wings theme from the SNES FF2.

This song is repetitive, but in my opinion beautiful at the same time. My rating would be 9/10.

I have taken up gamemaking with GameMaker 7.0. I have uploaded all the games I have made so far, Pixel Kingdom 1 & 2.

The first Pixel Kingdom focuses around the most agile person in the kingdom, Pixl, rescuing two princesses who have been trapped in Ahganim’s labyrinth. Unfortunately for them, Ahganim has died and forgotten to give them back to the kingdom.

In PK2:Battle of the Sons, 6 years have passed and Pixl has died, leaving his just as agile son, Cixl, to kill Ahganim’s son Vayer. Vayer has also captured a princess.

PK3 is currently being worked on as you read this, when it is published, I’ll let you know

Well we got to 10,000 hits today, the 8th of August of 2008 at 8 pm GMT (it was 4 pm here, which is Atlantic time, but GMT’s the one that really matters). 1 o’ mah favrit sawngs.

Well, my vacation’s almost over, in a few days, I’ll have to return to school. To let you know how I feel about it, I picked one of my favorite songs for the playlist this week. One Step Closer is the second song on Linkin Park’s first album [Hybrid Theory] (back when they rocked and rapped more). It has screaming, overall heavy sound and extremely angry, powertful lyrics. The song’s meaning is self-expalanatory, the guy’s angry at someone because (s)he keeps on talking, which brings him ‘one step closer to the edge’. He tried to ignore him/her but finally breaks and yells the person to shut up. The video shows a guy and a girl following a hooded, masked man towards an underground tunnel where the band is playing and other masked men are doing a sort of rite (or just dancing).

Rating: 9/10 – One of my favorite Linkin Park songs, always there on my mp3 player. Also the song is followed up by With You, another hard rocking song. You have to love the Shut Up part (so many people you would want to yell that to). The song is available In the Corner.
